Dr. John Maloney graduated from Springfield College in 1973 with a B.S. degree. He later attended Yale University for his graduate school education where he received an M.P.H. in 1975. Dr. Maloney received his M.D. in 1980 from Georgetown University. Afterwards, he trained at Emory/Grady in internal medicine for three years, from 1980-1983. Dr. Maloney then worked for the CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) for two years. He completed his fellowship in infectious diseases at Emory/Grady in 1987. Dr. Maloney is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases. His areas of special interests include geographical medicine/tropical diseases and HIV.

Dr. Maloney and his wife, Anne, have two children, Megan and Ryan.
